LEST WE FORGET

The Royal British Legion service of Remembrance in Meltham will take place outdoors around the War Memorial at St Bartholomew’s Church on Sunday 10th November 2024.

The parade led by Meltham & Meltham Mills band will leave the Carlile Institute at 10:30am and arrive at the church for the service which will begin at 10:45am. Please gather in the vicinity of the church yard.

For those who feel unable to stay outside, it will still be possible to sit inside the church and take part in the service which will be shown on the tv screen.

Please note that Green End Road will be closed to traffic from 10:35am to approx. 11:10am. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
