New Wine 2018 – A Christian Conference

Last year I went to ‘New Wine’. A Christian conference actually held in the North. It was a great 3 full days of lovely fellowship, inspirational teaching, shared stories, prayers and discussions around specific issues which directly affect us ‘up north’, great worship time and fabulous company.

https://www.new-wine.org/events/inspire-2018

The venue is a fairly remote farm ‘Hollybush’ (known as Christian Miracle valley) between Thirsk and Northallerton.  Hollybush is also a camping and caravan site with the usual facilities. B&B places are nearby or people can come for a specific day. Unfortunately last year there was little food available for campers on site other than snacks but hopefully this might be addressed this year.

This year’s dates are Friday August 17th – Tuesday 21st

I am planning to go camping again with my sister and possibly my son and family.

I think it would be a good experience for members of our Parish to be away together with the opportunities for getting to know each other better and thinking about the development and growth of our Parish of Meltham.

I offer to coordinate this so if you are interested please look at the website and let me know. Campers can then be together in the same village.

Last year there were over 1500 people with about 200 children and 100 teenagers extremely well nurtured. Great for all the family.
