“Crisis” Coffee Morning

Thank you to everyone who supported the “Crisis” coffee morning. It really is a team effort and it couldn’t happen without our volunteers, the donations to the stalls and the visitors. The church looked great, there was a good atmosphere and we have raised £3,540 for the charity.

Stalls for this year include:
Burhouse Beads
Traditional sweets
Crafts and gifts
Silent auction

Please support this event which raises money for the “Crisis” charity which helps the homeless throughout the year.

There will also be a stall selling Community Cards for the Welcome Centre and a stall raising funds for Operation Christmas Child.

PLEASE PRAY for California and other areas as they battle fierce fires sweeping through towns and homes. For all those who have lost their homes and possessions. For those who have lost family and friends. Please pray for the winds to die down and the fires to cease.

The Unknown Soldier – Play commemorating the Armistice Centenary

This poignant one-man play written and performed by former soldier Ross Ericson in tribute to the end of the Armistice Centenary 1918 – 2018, will be performed in St Bartholomew’s Church, #Meltham on Friday 16th November at 8pm.

Touring Nationally in 2018 and now coming to Meltham.  It’s got top reviews and comes highly recommended.

#MELTHAM REMEMBERS – Centenary commemoration of the end of the 1914-1918 First World War @ St Bartholomew’s Church

‘There But Not There’ – An installation for the Fallen – Church open daily – all welcome to view the installation of transparent military figures seated in the Church along with our memorial display of over 2000 hand made poppies. The figures serve as a reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, back in the space they left behind. Take time to sit among them, reflect and remember.

Bartimaeus, even though disadvantaged and discouraged by others, was determined not to let Jesus pass by without meeting Him, and as a result received his sight. We too have the privilege to meet with Jesus, personally and collectively, and be in His presence. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by.
