Let us not be mistaken by thinking that God does not want us to succeed or have nice things. Regardless of whether we are ‘rich’ or ‘poor’, whatever we have on this earth, we should all be willing to sacrifice everything to follow Jesus and live a life for Him and with Him. ‘Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow You!”

Hi, everyone,
Just to let you know that we are having to cancel Friday Evening’s Supper and Speaker event.
Unfortunately, Vicki Minton, our speaker is in hospital awaiting surgery following a heart attack.
Naturally we wish her well and a good recovery.
We are sorry to disappoint those who were hoping to join us.
Hopefully another evening will be arranged soon and we shall look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Again,our apologies,

Sunday 21st October

SUNDAY 21st OCTOBER 2018

The Service at St James’ will have a slight difference on the 21st October. We will be celebrating Morning Worship with Reflections. The Theme will be ‘God’s Story – Our Story’ and we are fortunate to have a Guest Speaker.

Jacqui Hance will be with us to share her Personal Story.

Jacqui has a family and is the wife of the fairly recently appointed Dean of Derby Cathedral. She has also recently been appointed as Regional Manager with Operation Christmas Child. As Meltham is included in the area for which she is responsible, and as we will be only a couple of weeks away from the start of the 2018 OCC November campaign, we look forward to also hearing from her about new role.

We do hope as many people as possible will be able to come along and support Jacqui as she shares with us.
