Weekly News – w/c Mon 2 July

PLEASE PRAY that our community in Meltham will know that God is with them and loves them for who they are. God of mission – who alone brings growth to your Church, send your holy spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions and power to our witness in service to our local community.

Weekly News – w/c Mon 25 June

PLEASE PRAY for our community as we prepare to welcome visitors for the Meltham Memories weekend. We pray that the positive nostalgia for times passed does not turn into the glorification of war and that through our time spent celebrating together we can continue to pray for and work for peace for all people. Help us to be a Church through faith and deeds.

“But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’ Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”  (James 2:18)

Weekly News – w/c Mon 18 June

PLEASE PRAY for all those in authority that they will made good choices. We sit at a time when there is the possibility of great strides being taken towards peace on the Korean Peninsula, in the Middle East and in Afghanistan – yet for every story of hope and progress, there are warnings of the failings of being driven by love of ourselves rather than of you. We long for peace and trust that you guide those who have hearts to ask and ears to listen. From Psalm 138 (v6) Even though you are so high above, you care for the lowly, and the proud cannot hide from you.

PLEASE PRAY for those people who are struggling to come to terms with tragedy or injustice – help them not to blame the innocent or to seek revenge but to know that they are loved and supported and that from evil new shoots of good cannot help but emerge if we look for them.
