Church Yard Working Groups – Meltham Church Hall – Sat 23rd October

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Church Yard Working Groups are continuing the work around the Parish on Saturday 23rd October at #Meltham Church Hall where we will shall be moss clearing and bush pruning etc. – Saturday morning from about 09.30 to 12.30 but even if you can only spare an hour, it all helps to make the job easier – the more, the merrier!

Feel free just to turn up, for all or a part of the session. We have a good chat and a laugh as well as work. Cake is usually involved at some point too! As we are outside, it is always weather dependent, so rain coats or sun hats required!

If you would like to join this merry group and want to be kept up to date with future dates and locations, please contact Irene Harrop at: irene.harrop@hotmail.co.uk or 01484 664163 or contact Mike Still on 07867 951512 for further information.

Parish Magazine – October 2021

Putting together this month’s edition of the #Meltham Parish magazine has been a joy to do, seeing the adverts for groups starting up again and especially the upcoming Alpha courses, a place to explore the Christian faith and to ask questions (see back page for details). Please do feel free to attend some or all of them, they are all Covid aware. There’s options to either attend in person or online via Zoom.

As we step into Autumn we asked for photos to show off our world around us and you didn’t disappoint!
Thank you to Alison Whiteley for creating this months Magazine covers. If you have any more photos please do send them into the address below so we can include them next month too.

Thank you to all who have contributed this month. The next deadline for the much needed contributions will be Monday 18th October 2021. Please send them via: melthamparishmagazine@gmail.com or via the vicarage letterbox. (150 Huddersfield Rd, HD9 4AL)

Wondering what Jesus really came for and never known who to ask?

We would love to chat with you about the big questions in life! You can do this with a cuppa at the Crossroads Centre in Meltham and a chat in a small group (or simply come along or join online to listen) .

Alpha is an 8 week course, for everyone wanting to explore life and faith a bit more. 20 million people have done this course. It’s probably the least cheesy, most enjoyable way of thinking about the things that really matter in life.

Our next Alpha courses start in October 2021. Don’t worry if you have to miss a date or two. We’d love you to come to as many as you can anyway.

You can choose between an In-person course or an Online course.
