We’re pleased to announce that Saturday Coffee Mornings are restarting at Meltham Church Hall. The first two will be run by the Parish as a trial. Covid measures will still be in place with extra cleaning, distanced tables and restrictions on numbers. Please also wear a mask until seated. Come and meet your old friends, and hopefully some new ones too! There’s so much to catch up on – it’s been such a long time!

Last Week was the 69th Week of our Prayer sheet. We have prayed in earnest about the Covid 19 pandemic and its effect on all the Nations and peoples of our world. Alongside we have sought to find ways of deepening our relationship with God.
The government leaders are relaxing the rules that follow lockdown seeking a new norm, whatever that might be it seems a good time to end the weekly distribution, but I urge you to continue praying with the same fervour, that we have enjoyed together over the last 70 weeks.
This ‘Issue no 70 “will be our final MCT Monday Prayer Sheet but it is hoped that we might continue praying daily for our world and our own nation in how we deal with the pandemic.
This prayer sheet No 70 contains what might be an aid for us to continue to pray, allowing the scriptures and the Holy Spirit to teach us more about prayer.

Prayer is not just about asking God for things you need or desire. It is about establishing a relationship with Him built on faith and trust in Him. Sat 10th July – Helme Church Graveyard – Grass cutting and strimming (mainly).
The team have been working hard recently with good results and would be delighted if you could join them, even if it’s only for an hour. You also might get a chance to sample one of Pat’s yummy scones!
DO YOU feel like some exercise that is cost free, in the open air and where the chat and laughter is as important as the work?
If so, then you are most welcome to join our band of merry helpers.
We aim for this to be an informal group, where friendships can grow as the weeds are subdued!!
Feel free just to turn up, for all or a part of the session. We have a good chat and a laugh as well as work. As we are outside, it is always weather dependent, here’s trusting for a long hot summer.
