HOLY WEEK – SATURDAY – EASTER TRAIL – MELTHAM GREENWAY

EASTER TRAIL for all the family – Easter Saturday 16th April from 10am til 4pm – Meltham Greenway

Follow the Easter Trail from the Turning Circle on the Meltham Greenway to St James’ Church at Meltham Mills.

On completion, there’s a free Easter egg to the first 100 children to complete the trail plus free coffee and cakes for everyone at St James’ Church. Along the way, particpants young and old will be able to take a decorated egg which have been made by members of the Churches in Meltham – it’s a symbol of the Real Love story of Easter. Jesus loves us without limits and wants to gather us together. COVID has taught us the importance of community, supporting one another through difficult times.

We hope this will be a really enjoyable family event and hope you can come along – it’s easy to follow and suitable for all ages

SAT 16 APRIL – EASTER TRAIL – MELTHAM GREENWAY finishing at ST JAMES’, MELTHAM MILLS

Hello, please could we ask for some support with the Easter trail element of our Holy Week.

Below you can see an overview of the type of help we need and the duration of the event on Sat 16th April.

If you could find some time on the Saturday to help with one or more of these aspects, we would be delighted to see you! Please could you respond back to Mike or Debbie Still or Rev John and give an indication of how long you could spend with us and which element you could help with.

Be a welcomer.  Talk with and help people
Make and serve refreshments
Give out easter eggs

Make a cake or cookies for the day – would you be able to provide some baked goods for us to give out during the day? If you are unable to come along and help but could find some time to do some baking that would be just as valuable and appreciated by those who have been walking the Easter trail!

Many, many thanks.

Parish Magazine – April 2022

The #Meltham Parish magazine for April is now available.
Easter is such a hopeful time of the year, flowers are starting to grow and there is an increase in bird song and we can eventually start to put the clothes on the line more too. However it is not just about that, find out what it means to others and about the ‘Real Love at Easter event.

We have all been touched by the events in Ukraine, and the recent appeal showed just how much it has touched the hearts of Meltham. We have given an amazing £949.60 to Teams4U.

Thank you to all who have contributed helped with this issue especially Alison W, it really wouldn’t be the magazine it is without your input. All contributions are considered both big and small, so please do send them in.

The next deadline for the May magazine will be:
Monday 18th April 2022
Please send them via:
