Hello! and welcome to our August / September edition of the Parish Magazine. Summer is here, so pull up a deck chair, slap on the suncream, pour a cool drink and settle in! There’s lots of interesting articles including the first of a three part article on Church Bells (pg 12). A lovely thank you from Liz Ryan (pg 30) and don’t forget to check out the centre pages for info on the Oasis restart and the schedule for our Summer services across the Parish – note there’s not a service in every church every week during August due to the holidays.
The front cover just doesn’t do the community quilt justice and you really must try and find a time to go see it this summer at any of the community events. Again, I am so thankful for all your wonderful contributions for this edition. It has made my job so much easier and I think makes a fantastic issue. Please continue to send them in.
The deadline of the October / November magazine will be Friday 20th September 2024. Please send submissions via: melthamparishmagazine@gmail.com or via the vicarage letterbox. (150 Huddersfield Rd, HD9 4AL)
