Joint Parish Service of Holy Communion – Sun 30th Oct

It’s a 5 Sunday month, so as is tradition in the Parish of #Meltham, we shall be having a joint parish communion service so we can all come together and worship as one. This time, it will take place at St James’ Church down at Meltham Mills. Sunday 30th October at 10:30am.

Don’t forget the clocks go back this weekend, so if you don’t change yours (or your phone doesn’t update automatically), then you might end up arriving just in time for coffee at the end of the service 🙂

Please note that there won’t be any other services at the other churches in the parish on this Sunday – the idea is that everyone comes along to this one – yes, that includes you <insert name here>! 🙂

ALL WELCOME!

Remember: WE ARE ONE IN THE SPIRIT, WE ARE ONE IN THE LORD

Parish Magazine – November 2022

Meltham Parish Magazine – November 2022 – The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it!

Hopefully, you are are sitting comfy and wrapped in your blanket (cos no one wants to put the heating on yet with the current energy prices!) and ready to immerse yourself in news from the Parish of #Meltham. The Crossroads have been really busy so catch up on their news and their 30 seconds of fame!

There are lots of events happening on the run up to Christmas, so make sure they are all ready in your diary. Helme Ladies have lots to catch us up on having missed the last edition and there’s some great tips on saving energy around your home.

Please continue to send in your submissions for the magazine, we really couldn’t make this magazine what it is without you!

Parish Magazine – October 2022

Welcome to our tribute edition of the magazine to our Queen Elizabeth, who was an example to us all of how to live our lives in service to others. London seemed so far away, but with the help of Richard Noon and others you will see, we were able to say ‘Goodbye’ in our own Meltham way.

I would also like to apologise for not updating the parish registers over the summer. This was an oversight and are now included in this months edition. As we settle into the autumn months we can read about how the Crossroads continue to help those who need it. There are new events happening like Alpha and also a sneak peek as to what you can expect in the run up to Christmas.

The next deadline for the November magazine will be:
Monday 17th October 2022
Please send them via:
melthamparishmagazine@gmail.com
or
via the vicarage letterbox.
(150 Huddersfield Rd, HD9 4AL)

God Bless,
Fiona.

You can also find here, a copy of the September magazine which unfortunately didn’t get posted last month, but still worth a look if you didn’t manage to get to see a copy. Apologies from the webmaster for that.
